The Nissan Juke has a smart interior and comes with plenty of equipment but it's overshadowed by more rounded choices in the small SUV class, including the Ford Puma, Skoda Kamiq and VW T-Roc. There are better hybrid alternatives too, including the Renault Captur and Toyota Yaris Cross. If you're buying a Juke we'd recommend the DIG-T 114 engine and N-Connecta trim.

Stepping up to Tekna adds even more equipment but also adds a fair amount to the price. Extra niceties include an upgraded 360-degree parking camera, a better Bose stereo system, 19in wheels, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a heated windscreen.

This entry-level engine is the one that we’d go for. It keeps the price down, and while it's not as strong as the equivalent engine in its rivals, it still gives you enough power to make good progress.
