Used Ssangyong Korando 2011-present reliability
Category: Small SUV
The Ssangyong Korando is good value used, spacious and reasonably powerful, but it can’t match rival family SUVs for all-round appeal
What should I look for in a used KGM Korando estate?
Most Korandos will have been used in the rough and tumble of city life, so check the front and rear of the car for any scuffs or dents. Also check the folding operation of the rear seats and the tailgate. And in four-wheel drive models, it’s worth checking for any signs of damage caused by major off-road excursions, especially any marks on the undersides of the car.
The good news is the engines in these Korandos are tough and reliable, with very few reported problems. Likewise the interior, for all its tough plastics, is solid and should last a long time. Aside from one or two issues with the gearbox, the Korando appears to have a good reliability record and be popular with its owners.
