Heres what caught Steves eye at the LA show.
Porsche Cayman R
This is Porsches new stripped-down racer that got its world premiere here in LA. Compared with the Cayman S, it has been stripped of 121lb of weight, lowered by 20mm and given an extra 10bhp now 330 making it both quicker and more responsive than the Cayman S. It will be a regular production model rather than a limited-run special, and goes on sale in the UK in February costing 51,731.
Range Rover Evoque
The awesome Evoque seems to have been around for an eternity, but the LA show played host to the world premiere of the five-door version. It gets extra practicality, but doesnt lose any of its innovative styling. Although it is the same width and length as its three-door sister, the five-door car is 30mm higher, thanks to a raised roofline that helps to create more space inside. Heres Steves verdict.
Saab 9-4X
Saabs second new model since being bought by Spyker was rolled out at Los Angeles although it owes much to General Motors, its former parent company. The 9-4X, a luxury mid-sized crossover, is based on the Cadillac SRX and will be built alongside that car at a GM plant in Mexico. Watch the video to see if Steve thinks Saab has got back on track with 9-4X.
