The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is designed to address the shortcomings of the outgoing SX4, and help the new car compete with class-leading rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Yeti.
The SX4 was not the most practical SUV, so Suzuki has attempted to improve on this by making the SX4 S-Cross much larger. It's available with a choice of two engines a 1.6-litre petrol or a 1.6-litre diesel, which both produce 118bhp.
It's a well-equipped car, too, even in the most basic trim. Suzuki has also included some useful touches, such as an adjustable boot floor, which levels out the load space.
So, can the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross prove to be a worthy rival for the Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Yeti, or will its relatively low purchase price mean buyers must compromise on quality?
