Ford has overhauled its Mondeo family car range with new and improved engine options and a twin-clutch automatic gearbox.
The 200bhp 2.0-litre EcoBoost petrol already found in the S-Max and Galaxy ranges is now available from 22,095. The 2.0-litre engine is 19% more efficient than the previous 2.3-litre motor, and it's faster.
The 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine family has been reworked to meet more stringent Euro V emissions standards. It is available in 114bhp, 138bhp and, for the first time, 161bhp outputs.
A new twin-clutch automatic PowerShift gearbox is fitted with all EcoBoost engines and is a 1500 option on the two more powerful diesels to replace the standard six-speed manual.
