Honda Civic Tourer prices announced
* New estate has class-leading boot space * Offered with two engines in four trim levels * Available to order in December, priced from £20,265...
The new Honda Civic Tourer will cost from £20,265 when order books open in early December. That money will get you the entry-level petrol in S trim.
Honda has carried over the popular 'magic seats’ from the hatchback - which allow you to fold up the rear seat bases to carry tall items that wouldn’t otherwise fit - but it’s also managed to expand the boot space to a class-leading 624 litres.
The Civic Tourer will be offered with two engines at launch – a 1.8 petrol and a 1.6 diesel. The diesel boasts official CO2 emissions of 99g/km and fuel economy of 74.3mpg.
The cheapest trim is called S, which includes Bluetooth, digital radio, a USB port and 16-inch alloy wheels. This trim costs £20,265 with the petrol motor or £21,375 with the diesel engine.
SE Plus trim starts at £21,950 for the 1.8 petrol. It adds rear parking sensors and 17-inch alloys. Jumping from SE Plus to SR spec costs an extra £2400, but for £24,350 you get heated front seats, sat-nav and Honda’s adaptive suspension system, which aims to improve stability and comfort across the variety of load and towing conditions that the Tourer will be exposed to.
Range-topping EX Plus trim gets all of the above, plus keyless entry and go, xenon headlights and cabin lighting and storage upgrades, and is priced from £26,250.
Buyers who choose SE Plus spec or above can add an optional safety pack for £780, which includes low-speed brake assist, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, plus blind spot and cross traffic monitoring. EX Plus trim is available with all of these safety features, as well as adaptive cruise control and a collision avoidance system, in a separate options pack that costs £2500.
Test drives for the Honda Civic Tourer should be available from February next year.
