2014 Renault Megane face-lift revealed
* New front styling for Megane range * First model to get new 128bhp petrol engine * All-new Megane on sale in UK in early 2014...
These are the first pictures of the 2014 face-lifted Renault Megane.
The updated Renault Megane gets the same front-end treatment as the new Captur crossover and face-lifted Scenic MPV. The front lamp clusters are more rounded, with silver 'brows' above the headlight lenses. A large Renault logo is set in the middle of a gloss black strip that runs across the nose of the car.
All versions get a new front bumper with a wide air vent under the number plate, and there are slim daytime running lights set into each corner.
The face-lifted Megane range is also the first to get the new 128bhp TCe engine. It will make its debut in the hatchback, coupe and estate variants next year, and will be fitted with Renault's six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
There are no other exterior changes to the face-lifted Megane range, and no significant changes expected to the cabin.
The 2014 Renault Megane will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show on September 10. We expect only a small increase in price for the face-lifted car, which means the cheapest hatchback should still start at less than £17,000 when it goes on sale early next year.
