The SL55 gets a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 that delivers its 469bhp through a 4Matic+ four-wheel-drive system. At our private test track we clocked one sprinting from 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds. With its Nascar-aping soundtrack it is our favourite engine in the range.
