The latest Mercedes SL trades the previous version's slightly dumpy looks and handling for something more aggressive. It's still more of a grand tourer than a sports car, but is now extremely composed, and with its extra dose of practicality it’s more versatile than ever.
With 469bhp, this version managed 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds when we tested it at our private test track. Throw in a great soundtrack and it’s hard to see why you’d need anything more from your SL.
