Even so, the Hyundai i10 is a bit more polished in terms of ride and refinement and a Dacia Sandero offers more space but costs even less. If you do buy a Picanto, we recommend sticking with the entry-level version to keep costs down.

See full engine specsThe only other choice in the Picanto lineup is the 1.2 MPi, which is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. It’s quicker than the 1.0 MPi, covering 0-62mph in 13.1sec – but that’s still pretty slow and it’s only available in the most expensive trim level.
