The model
Read full Kia Picanto reviewWith a smart interior, tidy handling and a very easy to use infotainment system, the Kia Picanto is a good small car. Even so, the Hyundai i10 is a bit more polished in terms of ride and refinement and a Dacia Sandero offers more space but costs even less. If you do buy a Picanto, we recommend sticking with the entry-level version to keep costs down.
The trim
See full equipmentThis trim level adds a height-adjustable boot floor, LED headlights, keyless entry, 16in alloys and slightly sportier exterior styling on top of 2 trim. It’s only available with the 1.0 MPi engine.
The engine
See full engine specsThe non-turbocharged 66bhp 1.0 MPi is pretty much the default choice. That's because it's available with the majority of trims and with a manual or automatic gearbox. 0-62mph takes just over 15.4sec (or 18.2sec for the auto), which is fine for pottering around town but does feel very sluggish out on the open road.
