The entry-level 58kWh V1 version makes the most sense, and while it’s much more expensive than an equivalent MG4 EV, it’s better to drive, more refined and much more appealing inside.

The engine
See full engine specsIn our tests, the 58kWh version of the Born managed 0-60mph in a very respectable 7.0 seconds. That means acceleration is roughly on a par with the Renault Megane E-Tech and slightly stronger than in the MG4.
