Cars available now

Majoring on comfort and refinement, the Citroën C5 Aircross is a great-value family SUV, especially if you stick to the entry-level 1.2-litre petrol engine and Plus trim. It has lots of strengths, but if you want a plush interior, agile handling or seven seats, take a look at the closely-related Peugeot 5008 instead.

The entry-level trim is our pick of the range, and comes with 18in alloy wheels, automatic windscreen wipers, dual-zone climate control, an automatically dimming rearview mirror, keyless start and privacy glass.

We’re yet to try this engine, but it comes with a turbocharged three-cylinder unit producing 134bhp and 170lb ft of torque. A six-speed automatic gearbox comes as standard.
