Unless you really need quattro-level traction, we'd go for the rear-wheel drive Performance version – it's the sharpest to drive and most efficient. The Porsche Macan Electric is better still and might just be worth paying a bit extra for.

See full equipmentEdition 1 trim brings even bigger wheels than S line, a second touchscreen for the front passenger, electrically adjustable front seats, matrix LED headlights and a module that can overlay an electronic soundtrack to the Q6’s acceleration to add a bit of drama. We reckon the cheaper trims makes more sense, though.

See full engine specsQuattro means four-wheel drive in Audi speak, so you get extra traction and slightly faster acceleration compared with the curiously named Performance. The official range is up to 382 miles, although it varies slightly depending on trim level.
