The Audi A6 Avant is a comfortable, quiet and technologically advanced estate that's beautifully built. A BMW 5 Series Touring is better to drive and has a more user-friendly infotainment system, though. The 40 TFSI petrol engine should have enough power most buyers (although the PHEV is a better choice as a company car), and we'd pair it with entry-level Sport trim.

Entry-level Sport trim gives you plenty of kit while keeping the price down.
