Review

The Renault Zoe is great value, decent to drive and has a long range between charges,. We reckon the range-topping R135 GT Line is the pick of the range, although the R110 Iconic is well worth a look – especially if you mostly drive in town. If you can deal with a little less range, though, the Peugeot e-208 is better overall

Trim: GT Line

Top-spec GT Line comes only with the R135 motor, but brings a larger 9.3in touchscreen infotainment screen with sat nav. Other additions include synthetic leather and recycled cloth upholstery, a reversing camera and blindspot monitoring. This is also the only trim level that comes with automatic emergency braking, which is one of the main reasons it's our favourite.

Engine: 100KW i

The more powerful of two electric motors is worth the relatively small premium (over the R110). Acceleration is noticeably stronger above 40mph, making the Zoe more accomplished on fast A-roads and motorways.
