What's it likely to cost?
Nissan expects its EVs to cost the same as comparable models powered by internal combustion engines. That does not include the cost of batteries, but Nissan thinks some sort of leasing arrangement for these will prove to be popular.
It plans incentives with the battery leasing charges to help get EVs established, so that the cost of ownership will be 10-15% less than for a car powered by petrol or diesel.
Electricity costs a fifth of the price of petrol and diesel, and electric cars need much less maintenance than those with internal combustion engines.
