Used test: Seat Leon vs Skoda Octavia verdict
At two years old, these class-leading family cars are around £5000 cheaper than if you were to buy them new. Should you go with the Seat Leon or Skoda Octavia, though? We have the answer...
Our verdict
Remember when we said that the Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia are similar cars and similarly great? Well, you can now see that reflected in our star ratings, both of which are five out of five.
However, one family car has to come second, and it's the Octavia. We love its gutsy yet economical engine and bedsit-sized boot, not to mention its classy, well-built interior. It doesn't balance ride and handling as well as its competitor does, though; the Leon is more enjoyable to drive and roomier for passengers, hence it wins this test.
