Used test: Ford Puma vs Nissan Juke vs Volkswagen T-Roc: verdict

These are three of our favourite small SUVs, but which makes the best used buy: the sporty Puma, the classy Juke or thre comfy T-Roc?...

Used Ford Puma vs Nissan Juke vs Volkswagen T-Roc

Our verdict

Nissan certainly delivered on making the second-generation Juke better than the first. If a quality interior, lots of equipment or a strong safety rating are priorities, it's a fine used buy. However, class leaders, such as our other two contenders, further make clear its weaknesses in ride composure, refinement and boot space, though.

The T-Roc is a small SUV for those who want to relax. It’s extremely comfortable and particularly good at isolating you from noise and the outside world. It's a great all-rounder, but can't quite match the Puma on a few key areas.

The Puma is far more enjoyable to drive than its rivals and offers better-than-expected economy twinned with the performance of a much larger engine. What's more, practical touches such as its cleverly designed boot mean it has something that nearly everyone will be able to appreciate. It wins this test and is our pick of the used small SUVs.
