Used test: Ford Fiesta ST vs Mini Cooper S verdict
You'll get plenty of change from £15k if you buy either of these used hot hatches. Time to find out which is best...
Our Verdict
The Cooper S has strong performance, agile handling and a classy interior. It's stylish inside and out, and as a car to use everyday – though it's not particularly practical – it proves an enjoyable, quick little hatchback to own. Plus, it's more common and cheaper to buy used than the ST200.
However, fun factor takes centre stage in a hot hatch. In other words, the biggest smile wins – and that's why the Fiesta ST200 swoops in and takes first place. It's much more of a driver's car, and one tailor made to thrill. Not to mention it's more spacious in its interior and boot. Even in standard ST form, which boasts better value over the ST200, it's the victor.
