The electric SUVs with the longest ranges, and how much you can save on them
Like the idea of an electric SUV, but worried about range? Well, here we reveal the model from each brand that can go farthest on a charge – plus the discounts currently available...
With SUVs being ideal family cars and electric cars being cheaper to run than their petrol and diesel equivalents, electric SUVs have the potential to be a brilliant combination.
That just leaves the issue of range, and 'range anxiety' is often one of the biggest sticking points when it comes to choosing to go electric. However, with battery technology and charging speeds improving significantly in recent years, it doesn't necessarily have to be.
Some electric SUVs can now travel for more than 300 miles on a single charge and can be topped up from 10-80% of battery capacity in as little as 20 minutes (if you can find a powerful enough charging point). However, they are still not for everyone, and a few still have ranges that limit usability.
But which electric SUVs can travel the farthest? Here, we'll walk you through the models with the longest ranges from each manufacturer. We'll also reveal how much you can save by using our Target Price deals and our free What Car? New Car Buying service.
We've presented the official ranges of each car listed, as determined by the WLTP test cycle. Where available, we've also included our more accurate real-world test figures.
