Suzuki's greener SX4
* Updated SX4 * New engines * Lower CO2 emissions...
Suzuki will showcase an updated, more efficient SX4 range at the Frankfurt motor show next month.
The 2010 SX4 gets new engines with more power, but lower CO2 emissions. Various cosmetic tweaks are also included in the update.
More power, less CO2
A more efficient 1.6-litre petrol engine uses variable valve timing and a modified cylinder head to help to cut CO2 emissions by approximately 10% over the engine it will replace.
Emissions from the new 2.0 DDiS diesel engine are slashed by 18% over the current engine, dropping it from 174g/km to 143g/km.
Styling changes
The 2010 SX4 has a number of updates to its exterior and interior styling. These include:
• New front bumper
• New front grille
• Redesigned front and rear skid plates
• New instrument cluster and information display
• New control panel for climate control system
