Seat Arona vs Seat Ateca: space, practicality and costs
They're two of the most popular cars with What Car? readers, and have both won awards at our annual Car of the Year ceremony, but how do they compare and which should you choose?...
Seat Arona vs Seat Ateca – space and practicality
Given that the Ibiza is one of the roomiest small cars you can buy, it's hardly surprising that the Arona also impresses, with with enough space to keep six-footers happy.
That said, the Ateca is obviously the better family car, thanks to its larger dimensions; indeed, few family SUVs are as practical.
Seat Arona vs Seat Ateca – costs
The Ateca undercuts key rivals such as the Peugeot 3008 and Skoda Karoq with a starting price of £19,989, while the Arona is also competitively priced, costing from £15,340.
Both hold their value well, too, so are available with attractive finance rates. And both average more than 50mpg in official tests when specified with our recommended engines: the Ateca managed 51.4mpg and the Arona 56.5mpg.
