Save thousands on luxury saloons

In this week's best deals we've found discounts of more than £5000 on three large, luxurious saloons.

The Audi A6 is a well-rounded executive car, offering decent refinement as well as a spacious, plush and well-built interior. The 2.0 TDI 177 version makes a great company car thanks to low CO2 emissions, but a discount of £5596 at Uknewcars.com gives it appeal for private buyers, too. That means it costs just £25,389. What’s more, this model managed an impressive 56.1mpg in our True MPG test.

Buyers with more money to spend should take a look at the Jaguar XF. It’s a former Car of the Year winner, and remains a terrific executive saloon. The 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine is the best match for the XF’s brilliant handling, ride and refinement, which is why it’s our pick of the range. You can save £5382 on the 3.0D V6 Luxury model at Drivethedeal.com, which means it costs £30,478.

The BMW 5 Series is still our favourite large executive car. The 520d SE version is the best bet for most buyers, but if you can afford to run the effortlessly quick 530d, then head to Drivethedeal.com for a discount of £8324 on an M Sport spec car. At list price, this model might look too expensive, but the deal brings it down to £35,541, which is far more tempting.
