New Audi A6 Allroad vs Volvo V90 Cross Country: verdict
These posh estates have more go-anywhere ability than most. But which is better: the new Audi A6 Allroad or Volvo’s V90 Cross Country?...
Our verdict
In the end, the A6 Allroad comes out comfortably ahead in this test. It may be a bit pricier to buy, but it has the V90 Cross Country covered in most areas, from the way it drives to its performance and boot space. If you can’t run to the higher monthly payments, the V90 still provides a roomy, high-quality interior, though.
However, most buyers would be better off going for a four-wheel-drive version of the regular A6 Avant or V90 instead. Unless you must have the body cladding and extra ride height, either one would save you a fair chunk of money and be just as capable in most situations.
