Mazda has pulled the covers off its all-new 5 MPV.
The 5 MPV will be on sale in the UK by this autumn available with a couple of petrol engines a 113bhp 1.8 or a 148bhp 2.0-litre with start-stop.
The 2.0-litre is the most efficient engine. Fitted in the new 5, its average fuel economy is around 40.9mpg while carbon dioxide emissions are pegged at 159g/km.
That compares with the version fitted with the 1.8-litre, which is capable of 39.2mpg and emits 168g/km.
Both engines come with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Mazda is keeping quiet on the new 5's diesel engine options for now. Don't keep your fingers crossed for the 2.2-diesel that's in the 6 family car, said a Mazda insider.
Like the current model, the new 5 retains the sliding rear doors, which can be powered in some models.
The 5 is available in five or seven-seat versions.
Mazda 6
There is also a facelifted Mazda 6 on the stand, but if you want to see it in the metal, pop down to your local dealership now.
UK dealerships ran out of petrol models of the pre-facelifted version, so the company rushed in the latest model to UK showrooms.
Diesel versions of the new 6 will be available from May.
