Geneva 2012: Toyota Yaris Hybrid

The Toyota Yaris Hybrid has been unveiled at the Geneva show.
Its the first B-segment car in Europe to get full-hybrid treatment. Toyota believes 20% of Yaris buyers will choose the model.
A 1.5-litre petrol engine is paired up with a compact electric motor, delivering 79g/km CO2 and 67.2mpg.
Combined power is 100bhp, and Toyota has managed to shave 42kg off their usual 1.8-litre hybrid powertrain used in the Prius and Auris Hybrid by downsizing.
It goes on sale throughout Europe in May 2012.
