Would you like to find out about all the latest active safety technologies available on cars and see how effectively they actually perform?

What Car? has teamed up with Britain's Euro NCAP affiliate, Thatcham Research, to give you such an opportunity; this is your chance to try the systems out in a safe environment to find out how they can help save lives.

Systems you'll be able to try include automatic emergency braking to avoid a pedestrian and cyclist (crash test dummies, of course), adaptive cruise control that keeps your car at a set speed and brakes to keep it at a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and active lane-keeping assistance, which can steer the car around corners for you.

There will also be Q&A opportunities with car safety experts from Thatcham, and then we'll be interviewing you about your thoughts on the systems and their effectiveness for our magazine and website.

If you're interested, come along for an exclusive preview on Friday 29 March in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.

To apply, email the following information to readertestteam@haynet.com

  • Your name
  • Your age
  • Your mobile number
  • Your occupation
  • Where you'll be travelling from
