The 2013 Infiniti Q50 saloon will cost from 27,950 when it goes on sale later this year.
It will be available with two engines: a 2.2-litre diesel or a 3.5-litre V6 petrol-electric hybrid. The 167bhp diesel can be specified with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Infiniti promises CO2 emissions of 114g/km and average economy of 64.2mpg in this version.
The engine and motor in the hybrid car combine to produce 359bhp, which gives a 0-62mph time of 5.1 seconds. Average economy is 45.6mpg, with CO2 emissions of 144g/km.
It's available in three trims: SE, Premium and Sport. The entry-level 2.2-litre diesel SE costs from 27,950, and standard equipment includes six airbags, cruise control, rear-view camera, climate control, dual touch-screens and 17-inch alloys.
Premium specification for the diesel starts at 30,350 and adds leather upholstery with heated front seats and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
Range-topping Sport trim costs from 32,720. This includes 19-inch alloys, a sporty front bumper, aluminium cabin trim and sports seats. Sport models also get active lane control, which helps to prevent the car from leaving a lane unintentionally, as well as steering that can be tuned to the driver's preferences.
The Q50S Hybrid will cost from 40,000 with all of the equipment from Sport trim as standard, plus sports suspension and upgraded brakes with energy recuperation.
In-car entertainment across the range is provided by a standard six-speaker system featuring a CD player, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity. A multimedia pack that upgrades this to a 14-speaker Bose set-up, and adds satellite-navigation and DAB radio is available as a 2760 option.
Buyers will be able to choose from a large options list, with many of the items grouped into 'packs' that should be cheaper than adding items individually. Infiniti has confirmed that sat-nav will be available as a separate option, along with 18-inch alloys and a sunroof.
