Free from any turbocharging or hybrid electrical assistance, acceleration is best described as 'pedestrian' (0-62mph takes at least 14.9 seconds), although you won't exactly struggle to keep up with other cars in urban and suburban environments.

Safety kit includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and traffic-sign recognition. We reckon Edge trim is worth the extra, though.
