The New Volkswagen Jetta has been unveiled and initial thoughts are positive and when it goes on sale in early 2011 Volkswagen should have no problems finding customers. The new Jetta features a stunning new look, loads of space and the range of petrol and diesel engines that are the most modern to date. The new Volkswagen Jetta gets its inspiration from NCC concept car unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show in January. All panels on the new Volkswagen Jetta are completely new, this further proves Volkswagens latest evolution in their new design language. The new style and attention to detail continues on the inside of the new Volkswagen Jetta, the interior features an integrated multifunction display, air conditioning and a CD stereo system and aluminium highlights that sit ahead of a leather-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel. All the new tech and instruments are mounted inside a newly designed dashboard. The old Jetta proved to be a versatile and practical car, so dont expect anything else of new Jetta. The new car mixes good looks and practicality while also being able to seat five adults with a large 510-litre load space and a comprehensive range of standard safety features including six airbags, ABS and Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP). The Volkswagen Jetta has grown by 90mm, this gives the rear passengers an extra 67mm of leg space. The Volkswagen Jetta will be powered by the new range of petrol and diesel forced induction engines. The Jetta will get a 1.2 litre TSi petrol engine which produces 105 PS then followed by the 1.4 litre twincharged TSi petrol engine producing 160 PS what mixes economy and performance while the 1.4-litre TSI 122 PS and 2.0-litre TSI 200 PS remain unchanged. The diesel range starts with the 1.6 litre TDi 105 PS and is joined by a 2.0 litre TDi 140 PS Engine. Some modifications include Volkswagen's regenerative braking and Start-stop technology which will be available on the 1.2litre TSi and the 1.6 litre TDi engines. The modifications will help the 1.2 litre Volkswagen Jetta achieve 53.2 mpg while emitting just 123g/km of Co2. The 1.6 litre TDi Volkswagen Jetta should be able to achieve 68 mpg while emitting just 109g/km of Co2. The original Jetta launched in Germany has sold over 9.6 million since its release in 1979. Prices and specifications will be announced in early 2011.
