German car giant Volkswagen has unveiled the powerful Golf GTD, with the vehicle now set to be displayed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The aggressive-looking car is set to go from A to B in a breeze, thanks to the addition of a 181bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine under its bonnet.
Such a motor is capable of pushing the Volkswagen Golf GTD from 0-62mph in a blistering 7.5 seconds, before climbing to an impressive top speed of 143mph.
Despite all of this power, the vehicle is still able to achieve an estimated 60mpg when fitted with a manual gearbox, as well as limiting its CO2 emissions to a frugal 109g/km.
When it comes to the Golf GTD standing out when on the road, Volkswagen has decorated the standard model with nifty features as smoked LED tail lights, a sleek roof spoiler and prominent 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Volkswagen Golf GTD will be shown off at the 83rd annual Geneva Motor Show between March 7th and 17th, before being released across the UK later this year.
