Mini JCW Countryman

Brand New Mini CountrymanMINI have been at the Nurburgring in Germany putting two of their future vehicles through their paces, the Mini John Cooper Works versions of the Countryman crossover and the MINI Roadster were both undergoing testing by Mini Technicians.

The one that has caught my eye the most is the hot family friendly Countryman which can cover school runs and all the shopping trips you can throw at it. The John Cooper Works Countryman would not be out of its depth on a off road course due its 4x4 capability and with the 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine that produces 208bhp it would also not look out of place on a track day too. Not all the details have been released about the John Cooper Works Countryman but expect a 0-62mph time of around 7.0 seconds.

The front of the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman features chunky body kit which really sets it apart from the standard Countryman, the body kit features a front splitter spoiler, flared wheel arches, side skirts which are vented at the rear to help cool the rear brakes, while the rear of the John Cooper Works Countryman has a large twin exhaust and a subtle diffuser to finish of the sporty looks.

The Mini JCW Countryman on test at the Nurgburgring was fitted with a large set of alloy wheels similar in design to those on the MINI GP edition which help conceal the bigger set of brake discs that Mini has fitted to the John Cooper Works Edition of the Countryman which help stop the more powerful version. A set of low profile tyres have been fitted to help the already lower Countryman hug the tarmac even further. No official price has been set for the Mini John Cooper Works Countryman, but we expect it to be around £24,000 mark for this flagship car.
