Honda to showcase CR-V diesel engine at Company Car in Action event

Honda is set to showcase the new diesel version of its popular CR-V vehicle to fleet decision makers at the forthcoming Company Car in Action event (CCIA).

The firm has already used the 1.6-litre diesel engine within its Civic model, launching the version earlier on this year, with the CR-V set to include it from October onwards.

This means that people who attend CCIA will be able to drive the vehicle four months ahead of schedule at the Millbrook Proving Ground as well as other cars such as the Civic 1.6 i-DTEC, Insight and Jazz models.

Dave Girling, dealer corporate manager at Honda, said he hoped fleet decision makers would be impressed by the vehicle's new addition.

"It is extremely important for us to be at CCIA," he explained.

"It’s a fantastic opportunity to provide fleet operators with the chance to experience our cars and appreciate our ability to deliver some of the lowest CO2 emissions along with a high specification standard – exactly that which company car drivers and their bosses want in a vehicle."
