The New Citroen DS4 hatch which has been styled on the DS High Rider concept which featured at the Geneva Motor Show this Year, Citroen have definitely delivered on the promise of a stylish good looking car. The Citroen DS4 follows on from the Citroen C4, but the DS4 exterior is a big step forward. The design of the rear gives the car real eye catching looks. The New Citroen DS4 is shorter wider and 10cm taller than the regular Citroen C4. The front of the Citroen DS4 hatchback has the latest and most updated Citroen family face that made its debut on the Citroen C5. With extra chrome on the bar grille and a pair of daytime LED running lights add to the real classy finish, while the sides of the Citroen DS4 are flared to house the 19-inch alloys. The rear of the Citroen DS4 has door handles which are neatly tucked away in each corner of the back doors to give it more of a coupe look. On the rear, the DS4 features a bumper with neatly integrated exhaust pipes. Inside the interior features a higher standard of materials than previously found in the Citroen C4. Citroen have used chrome for the dials and covered the sculptured dashboard and doors in leather. With aluminium foot pedals Citroen has shown that attention to smaller luxury details are covered. Customers will have a choice of 5 different leather combinations. Even a choice of a hide trim which looks like watch bracelets linked together. All of the Citroen DS4 will get a panoramic windscreen which lets more light inside the cabin. One thing which is worth a mention is the option of front massage seats. Even though Citroen have paid attention to detail, quality and style, practicality is still high on Citroen agenda. Pockets on the doors are larger, a cold storage bin which is fitted in the centre console and a boot which has a 370 litres of space. The Citroen DS4 will offer a choice of five engines 2 Diesel and 3 Petrol, Diesel options will consist of an 110bhp 1.6-litre unit with stop/start and regenerative braking, and a 160bhp 2.0-litre. The three petrol options consist of a 120bhp 1.6 VTi, a 1.6-litre turbocharged 155bhp or top of the range 1.6-litre turbocharged 200bhp. Paris Motor show is where the Citroen DS4 will make its debut in October before going on sale early 2011.
