BMW has ambitious ideas for the future of its 4 Series coupe, with the concept model of the vehicle representing a "new chapter" in the car manufacturer's prestigious history.
Unveiled at the North American International Auto Show, the 4 Series has been described as being like no car before it, courtesy of its "unique combination of presence, elegance and dynamics".
The model is wider and smaller than other saloons, giving it the grandeur of the 6 Series, while maintaining a lightness that is more synonymous with the 3 Series.
In fact, the company has said how the 4 Series is a new focus for the 3 Series, but with its "own individual character and standalone design".
It has a certain poise about it that is all at once aggressive yet elegant, making it a joy to behold.
"The dynamic sophistication on the outside of the concept 4 Series also defines the inside," said Ludwig Willisch, head of BMW North America.
"From the sustainably-tanned leather to the natural Chestnut wood trim, the driver and passengers are surrounded in craftsmanship and exclusivity."
