BMW 3 Series buyers to get unparalleled choice

BMW 3 Series buyers in the UK are to get a record level of choice, with a huge array of styles and trim packages available on the vehicles, as well as an option for four-wheel drive for the first time.

There is set to be five body styles, or six if the X3 SUV is included, with the Gran Turismo the latest one to arrive on British shores. This model has a stretched wheelbase to combine the look of a coupe with the functionality of a hatchback.

Already available are the saloon and touring (estate), while the coupe and convertible are to follow in the near future.

The first 3 Series GT is to be available with a choice of three petrol and two turbodiesel engines and with four trim packages to pick from.

All-wheel drive will be an option for the 320i engine and another M Sport trim is expected to be added in the future.

The 3 Series is one of BMW's most popular ranges, accounting for more than a third of its global sales. The UK is the fourth largest market for its cars, behind the US, China and Germany.
