The new Land Rover Defender
The DC100 concept has really thrown a spanner in the works when it comes to its futuristic looks especially for current users who love the off-roaders iconic design look.
Trademark styling on the Land Rover Defender such as the floating roof and door mirrors will always be around and so should such things like the off-road winch with heavy duty tow hooks and sump protector guards. From the picture you can see the headlights have been inspired by the Range Rover Evoque.
You can still see some original styling in the new Defender with its block like shape but Land Rover have added sharper bodylines and the wrap around glass to bring the Defender up to date.
The new Land Rover Defender DC100 will use the updated heavy duty platform from the Land Rover Discovery 4 which will also feature an enhanced Terrain Response System and traction control. Expect the power to come from the new four cylinder petrol and diesel engines that are currently being developed at Land Rover.
Details about the interior of the Defender DC100 are still to be released, but Land Rover will fit the latest satellite navigation system and communication systems which is a world apart from the current choice the users have today.
