SKODA is Superb at Professional Driver Awards

The SKODA Superb has picked up the 'Private Hire Car of the Year' award from publication Professional Driver.

It is the fourth time the car has gained the accolade and it was handed over at the Copthorne Hotel Effingham in Gatwick. The panel included experienced vehicle testers in addition to a selection of Professional Driver's readers.

Range Rover Evoque picks up environmental Green Apple Award

The Range Rover Evoque has been named as the "greenest vehicle" at the Green Apple Awards in the smaller SUVs and 4x4 category.

Members of the Midland Group or Motoring Writers (MGMW), who voted in the awards, praised the model for its "stunning looks" and pointed out that it is also easy to drive on a day-to-day basis.

Volkswagen launches 'most powerful' Golf model

Volkswagen has launched the most powerful Golf it has created in the shape of the new R model.

It has already been likened to the Audi S3, but its £29,900 pricetag is slightly below its rival's £30,640.

New Mercedes-Benz vies to be most powerful

Mercedes-Benz has revealed its brand new performance roadster, alongside the impressive statistics and features that are expected to make it one of the most powerful models in its class.

Volkswagen unveils Twin-Up diesel-electric hybrid concept

Volkswagen has pushed the boundaries of efficiency even further with the launch of its new Twin-Up diesel-electric hybrid concept.

The plug-in version of the Volkswagen Up boasts 257mpg potential and an EV-only range of 31 miles.
